The Berlin underground is built on trust, but according to heavy-hitting producer WNDRLST, that trust has been severely broken.
A massive controversy has just erupted on social media, shining a harsh light on one of Berlin’s most well-known techno collectives: SYNOID. The industrial techno DJ has publicly called out the organization (run by resident DJ Acierate), accusing them of ghosting artists, faking bankruptcy, and withholding payments from over 20 people—all while quietly preparing to launch a massive 10-year anniversary event.
The Spark: The "Ten Years SYNOID" Announcement
The drama ignited when SYNOID officially confirmed their milestone event, "Ten Years SYNOID," scheduled for August 7, 2026, at the Berlin club ÆDEN. The lineup boasts heavy hitters like Rebekah, AnD, SLV, and PINKBOIALWAYSCRY.
However, for artists who played for the collective in the past, this announcement was a slap in the face. Taking to Instagram, WNDRLST unleashed a scathing statement detailing a pattern of financial deception:
"The audacity to go public with another event when you still owe 20+ people (artists/staff/management) their fee from a year ago is absolutely insane," WNDRLST wrote on his Instagram Story.
He didn't stop there, urging ravers to boycott the event entirely.
"Please do not support and attend collectives like this who lie about bankruptcy and then proceed to disappear from all communication making empty promises, followed by suddenly announcing a new event. This isn’t a one-time fck up, it has been a repeated pattern for years."*

But in the techno industry, organizing an event at a venue like ÆDEN with top-tier international acts like Rebekah requires serious upfront capital. The fact that SYNOID has suddenly resurfaced with the budget to throw a 10-year anniversary party—while still owing a massive backlog of debts from a year ago—has shattered the illusion of their bankruptcy claim.
